I'm on a roll. 3 wins in a row. This guy's only graded 88. he's an old man wearing braces and his trousers are up under his armpits. Still, mustn't get overconfident.
1. e4 d5 This is ok. I sometimes play this myself. Mostly given up due to poor results. Try to remember what my opponents used to do.
2. exd5 Qxd5 3. Nc3 Qa5 4. d4 c6 5. Bd2 Qc7 Pretty standard so far. Slight lead in development. Keep developing.
6. Nf3 Bf5 Time for the shades. After I don them, my opponent takes his glasses off. Is this a ploy?
7. Bc4 Nf6 I really want to castle Q-side, so as to launch a K-side attack, but it would be a bit laborious to manoeuvre to do that.
8. O-O e6 9. Re1 Bd6 If his B was on g4 I'd be more worried. Now for the decisive move.
10. d5 Nxd5 11. Nxd5 cxd5 12. Bxd5 O-O I didn't see that. I'd assumed something like 12...Bxc2 13 Rc1 Bxd1 Rxc7 etc
13. Bb3 Bg4 14. h3 Bh5 15. g4 Bg6 I want to be able to move my Q without losing the c2 pawn, so....
16. c3 Nc6 That doesn't look too dangerous. I've lost my lead in development, so thsi next move is aimed at e6. I hope to end up with a N on e6 forking his Q and R, without having to sac too much.
17. Ng5 h6 Hmmm. It doesn't quite seem to work. Better retreat the N.
18. Ne4 Bh2+ (just been for a cigarette). I think I'll move the K to the second rank in case I want to get a R to h1 and force a pawn through.
19. Kg2 Rad8 I want to be able to move my bishop (maybe to sac on h6). Can't move Q to c2 because then my N's pinned, and I might want to move that too.
20. Qc1 Kh8 I think this next wins a pawn at least.
21. Bxh6 gxh6 After the game, my opponent pointed out that he didn't need to take the bishop. Quite true, but he would have been a pawn down, and at the mercy of my fearsome endgame technique. It would have taken a bit longer, but the result would have been the same.
22. Qxh6+ Bh7 23. Nf6 Black resigned. Chess maxim No 37: Make enough 3-move deep threats, and the chances are he'll miss one eventually.
