1. e4 The only decent starting move.
1... c6 2. d4 d5 3. Nc3 dxe4 4. Nxe4 I might have a chance to play my trap here, with Qe2 and Nd6 mate if he plays Nd7
4... Bf5 No trap :( What do I do now? I've never seen this before
5. Bd3 My opponent thought for a long time after taking this pawn, and afterwards said he hadn't played much lately, and was it an opening innovation? I had to tell him it was a blunder. However, I do get a good attack so maybe I've invented a new gambit? I shall call it the Banks-Singhal gambit to distinguish it from all the other Banks Gambits (accidental or otherwise).
5... Qxd4 6. Nf3 Qd8 7. Qe2 Still hoping for Nd7, Nd6 mate!
7... e6 8. Nfg5 Be7 9. Bd2 Bxe4 10. Nxe4 Qb6 11. Bc3 Nf6 12. O-O-O Nbd7 13. g4 Nxe4 14. Bxe4 Bg5+ 15. Kb1 Nf6 16. Bf5 Qc5 17. h4 Bf4 18. Bxf6 gxf6 19. Bxe6 I had been thinking of doing this for a while. A bit risky when I'm already a pawn down, but Who Dares Wins.
19... fxe6 20. Qxe6+ Qe7 21. Qf5 Be5 22. Rhe1 Rd8 23. Rxd8+ Kxd8 24. f4 Ha! Got my piece back!
24... Rf8 25. fxe5 fxe5 26. Qd3+ Kc7 27. g5 Rf4 28. Qg3 I think I've got a slight edge now because of his isolated pawns, but I've got to watch tactical tricks and back row mates.
28... Qd6 29. b3 e4 30. h5 Qe5 31. g6 hxg6 32. hxg6 Rf5 33. Qxe5+ Rxe5 34. Rg1 Re8 35. g7 Rg8 36. Kc1 b5 37. Kd2 Kd6 38. Ke3 This was my sealed move. My opponent resigned without resuming. The only way he can get my g pawn is by swapping rooks, and by then my king gets all his q-side pawns.
