1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 Nc6 I know they play the Sicilian to stop me playing d4, so I'll just play it anyway. I'd rather lose a central pawn than get a cramped game.
3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 d6 5. Nc3 e5 6. Nxc6 I don't like retreating
6... bxc6 7. Bc4 Nf6 I'm thinking of saccing on f7, but it might be a tad premature. He's threatening ...NxP NxN d5 forking my B and N. I would reply Bxd5 and then retreat the N (Ed: Or take the N, answer d5 with B to b3, and when Black recaptures the N with dxN, throw Bf7+ at him)
8. O-O Be7 9. Bb3 O-O 10. Re1 Bg4 11. Qd3 I'm going for a K-side attack, so f3 would just block my pieces
11... Qc7 12. Re3 Rad8 13. Rg3 Threatening Bh6
13... Bh5 I see that Bh6 is countered by Ng4, so
14. h3 Bg6 I missed that. This is looking a bit dodgy all of a sudden. I need to get my other bishop moving. He will crash through centre soon if I'm not careful
15. Qe3 d5 It had to come sooner or later
16. exd5 Nxd5 17. Nxd5 cxd5 18. Qc3 This stops him winning a pawn. he could double my pawns, but that doesn't bother me much
18... Qb8 19. Bg5 Rc8 I looked at BxB RxQ BxR but then RxR so I didn't play it.
20. Qf3 Bxg5 21. Rxg5 h6 22. Rg3 Be4 I expect good players can see my brilliant combination easily, but I thought it was pretty impressive.
23. Qf6 I can't resist moves like that. I think the rest is forced, and I did actually think it out in advance! (Most unusual)
23... g6 24. Bxd5 First real sac
24... Bxd5 25. Rxg6+ Second sac
25... fxg6 26. Qxg6+ Kh8 27. Qxh6+ Drawn by repetition
1/2 - 1/2
